I did a few Proof of Concepts (POC) around the new Entity Framework 4.1 as part of an SOA project I’m currently on and I decided to share the acquired knowledge. The following series of blog posts are the result:
- Basics (1)
- Override conventions (2)
- Deep Fetch vs Lazy Load (3)
- Complex Types (4)
- Many to Many Relationships (5)
- Optimistic Concurrency (6)
- Inheritance (7)
- Bypassing EF query mapping (8)
Enjoy!
UPDATE: If you are more comfortable reading with Chinese characters, haoguanjun did a Chinese translation right over here!
Thanks very much for sharing your findings and knowledge. I had to spend some time finding some of the basic features of EF 4.1 as the ‘Getting started’ guides do not cover other aspects apart from creating a simple web app using the default behavior. You have certainly saved some of my time finding other stuff I didn’t know. Thanks again!
Thanks for your feedback Anirban!
You are a good man having taken time to explain the nuts and bolts of EF.
